Bushtit fairly common found one old nest 5' up in a P manzanita bush along the stream below camp. 27. White Br Nuthatch not common Three collected at camp & downstream. 28. Rock Wren collected one on the summit of San Benito Peaks 29. House Wren fairly common & rather widely distributed 30. Bewick's Wren somewhat common than the last & more widely distributed. 31. Calif Thrasher uncommon in brush collected one. 32. Bluebird Very common Family parties everywhere we went in poor plumage. 33. Blue-gray Shrike-throat ubiquitous & very numerous In evidence even in the heat of the day. 34. Warbling Vireo on Miller collected one along the stream below camp. 35. Solitary Vireo several found & collected along the stream below camp. 36. Orange-c Warbler fairly common but quiet in good plumage. 37. Audubon Warbler Dr Miller collected one near camp. 38. Hermit Warbler I collected one along the stream below camp.
