M.F.Smith 1977 JOURNAL June 6 Allen Creek Campground, 6400', Toiyabe Natl. Forest Mineral Co. Nevada sagebrush zone. We didn't see any Black-throated Sparrows. Ate lunch there and then the rest of the students left to return to Berkeley, stopped in Hawthorne for groceries and at the Naval Ammunition depot for the key to the Mt.香山area. The turnoff is a gravel road 10.9 mi. N of Hawthorne. Cottonwood Creek, 7900', Wabuska Range, Mineral Co. Nevada Parked the camper and slept for an hour, then set traps: Set 81-100 and 1-20 in sagebrush, Crepothamnus and part way into Piñon-juniper. Set 61-80 along edge of road in bunch grass, current, and Crepothamnus. Jill Trainer set 21-40 along creek in willow thickets. Set 161-180 along creek in willows and aspens. Set 41-60 on hillside in Piñon-junipers and rock slides. June 7 Went out at 6:45am to check traps. From the 40 in sagebrush low shrubs caught 81-100 1-20 5 Peromyscus maniculatus 1 Peromyscus 2 Perognathus parvus?
