Set 60 folding large Shermans near on old
mine 2.9 mi NW of Bear Valley (by rd).
Mostly in chamise (Adenostoma fasciculatum).
Set 60 folding large Shermons 8.4 mi NW of
Bear Valley (by rd.) at a bench mark of 1716'.
Chamise, ceanothus, manzanita, rocks.
Finished there at ~ 6:30 pm. John Cade
had caught several skinks (Eumeces
I Sceloporus , 1 Pituophis
and heard Hyla regilla . Drove back to
campsite in Yosemite Valley and
cooked spaghetti for dinner. Finished dinner
at ~ 10:30 p.m. (spaghetti water took a long time to boil).

Got up at 6:30am. Left Yosemite Valley at 8:00am.

Finished there at ~ 12 noon. Didn't catch any
Peromyscus californicus. We're not sure at this
point whether its because this is the very northern
edge of the range, or they are very scarce in the
foothills of the Sierra or whether we were trapping
