San Bernardino National Forest, San Bernardino & Riverside Co's, Calif.
It was very cold and windy both during the night and the morning. Left Little Zettle Creek and drove to the Mac Donalds in San Bernardino for lunch. Then drove to Banning and south to the San Jacinto Mts on hwy 243. Set 100 folding Sherman's in chaparral 10.5 mi SE of Banning in Manzanita, chamise, large boulders and granite gravelly soil. Very cold and windy on this ridge top. Drove up as far as Alondale Station but this was into yellow pine forest above the chaparral so turned around and drove back down, set 40 folding Sherman's 8.1 mi SE of Banning in Manzanita shrubby chaparral. Decided to stay in a motel because of the cold wind so drove back to Banning and settled into a motel and got cleaned up. Had dinner at the San Torquia Inn and went to bed at ~8:30pm.
