M.F.Smith 1976 JOURNAL Rustic Canyon, Santa Monica Mts., L.A. Co., Calif. Aug. 19 Left Rustic Canyon at 9:45 am, Mileage 34052, Stopped at Dregevine to try for Condors. Saw what we thought was an immature and an adult Golden Eagle to the East of Dregevine. Drove to A.D. Edmiston Pump Station overlook but the only birds we saw there were too high up to identify. Carl Zoford had told us the best times were 10-12 am and 2-4 pm, and it was ~12:30pm when we got there. Got back to Berkeley at ~6:30pm. Unloaded gear at MVZ after dinner. Final mileage 34537.
