Mileage 32959. Russell Reservation, Contra Costa Co., Calif. July 19 Left Berkeley at 11:05 am. Mileage 32970, Got to Garbage Dump at 11:45. Mileage 32984 Set 25 monfolding +15 folding thermans. 1-10 in Blackberry Canyon, 11-25 in chaparral canyon farthest east, 21-25 and 126-130 along road at edge of chaparral, 131-140 along road and into chaparral & short ways. (Garbage Dump = Soft Chaparral + some oaks/brushy) Set 21-40 at base of hill in chaparral. Set 1-20 in Laurel Canyon. Set 41-60 in chaparral east of Observatory, Set 61-80 at edge of chaparral/oaks east of Observatory. New fire trail intersects trap line near top of hill, so altered some traps so they are more in scattered oaks rather than chaparral edge. Set 81-90 in grassland, and 91-100 along edge of grassland, oaks, & chaparral. Set 101-120 in grassland. Finished there at 3:45 pm.
