Had showers and lunch. at 3:00 pm drove to Maillard State Reserve (Redwoods), Mileage for this side trip ; 32390 → 32462 = 72 miles July 5 Went out at 5:50am to check traps. Foster Creek Trap 2 P. truei σ adult 200 base of 70 cm white oak, in stream bed Trap 4 P. truei σ adult 2 by 50 cm rock, in stream bed Trap 5 Neotoma fuscipes released Trap 6 P. manic σ adult { in same trap 3 Trap 6 P. truei ♀ adult } 4 under overhanging tree trunk and rock, in stream bed Trap 7 P. truei ♀ adult recaptured 100, now 105 under overhanging roots of laurel tree, in stream bed recapture site ~ 80 m from Trap 8 Microtus initial capture site released Trap 10 Neotoma fuscipes released by dead branches in stream bed Trap 14 P. truei σ adult 10 by rock (30 cm) in stream bed under buckeye branches
