8 June Barrow, Alaska
alpina or bairdii - but more flaggy - it
covers < green arc -(This needs checking
from < different <- Curves did not
appear to be down-curve in the same
manner as alpina's). Stayed at
100'. Then dropped suddenly - about
straight down - The glide was a
sharp V, landed, kept 1 wing raised
for 2 sec. Then lowered it.
Late, Mundi was feeding on a
south slope the ridge - Suddenly took flight
then south low over the tundra. Encounter
another bird - (a pair) - They flew apart
for 200 sec., at 41 feet i present - he
then set his wings V + both landed
(The probity was given to say) - but
was too far to hear. As I landed -
I waved my left arm towards the
Indi (4?) - he pre-cocked tail, broad
ploy up (is not horizontal with body)
feared 4 - 5 flashed 1st to left over
to a vertical (but turned it to follow
position) then right. - level was
flashed about 37 - (three time it
reached the vertical, it was held there
manually then lowered). Later a 30' aerial
display note - some was dis continuous, usually
