Holmes, R. 1962 Erolia fascicollis 6 June Barrow, Alaska One bird - seen feeding on sledge top, 200 yards south of 25.0 - Barrowick Census Plot B. - once yaw short buzzy bill while feeding. The As a Dunlin landed nearly after completing an aerial display, The white - rump raised one wing - towards the Dunlin - then spread both wings horizontally - cocked tail - walker in this posture for about 1' - brought both wings into the body's keeping The tail cocked. kept walking forward the Dunlin (head was now up - as opposed to the head forward (the previous posture)). (1) → (2) → (3) All Newwhile the bird saw the buzzy - zee ping. call [This descr. Mr. song does not seem appropriate now!!). When about 1' away from the Red - both - the bird assumed normal posture & began feeding. Later - it fed right next to the bird - with no effect. This display must have been brought by being disturbed or alarmed by sudden movement - ?? 9 June Two birds seen in company with E. terruginea just south of Bruttons area. They
