Holmes, R 1964 C. melanotus 13 June Banoy Mokla encounters unobserved - all having similar patte action - all - I do not know whether the same or was always upright or vice versa. Held 6-2 believe 87 - more exact on not bleed ridge - been chased by resident 87s + WR. 14 June Photographed 87 displays, 87-8 encounter, 10-8 grand courtship near nest on P. telka's plot. The two 87s were making frequent contacts - flaying side by side in air - or chasing or landing on ground where fighting occurred (forward aggression with tail down + fanned, wings folded normally - head lowered + forward, back feathers ruffled - dart at other - who usually was upright "alert" posture - or the two sparred heads being moving in part [illegible] to ear side - neck + tail - giving a swan mation + then an occasional strike (or dart) toward the opponent). Sev. chases seen on bleed ridge near Guruline - same sort as above. - 87 PS [for one nest which had 3 eggs today] wood duck warned a grass where P.T or PDS fledgling - in The case I'm last - The included single 87 in hunting display + chasing 87s.
