RTH 1964 C. melanotos 7 June Barrow, Alaska Juv. male - moth brood early between 4 dawn + 5 o’clock + several small moths + less well developed birds - 18 seen. - Svr. display. Numbers seem to be increasing. 8 June 18 harassing a wh-o-r. - see C. fusacilii At least 2 settled for moment at Pitelki’s plot - considerably dancing - and was the fatter. 9 June 1 display Svr. - N.B.R. - Wt. (Aur) 2boston. Tried to use the stuffed bird to attract The Svr. on B.R. at NE corner Pitelki’s plot but after a brief survey, the model from 30’ away, the bird paid no further interest. Another indiv. on the grassy slope / Wobbly dog (Smyth) came in once, moved to air Min 5’/1 Mcdean - but then moved off. These Svr. birds are not as excited as you or last (i.e. perhaps last year with the dense pop - There was great agitation & aggression between Svr. - That it is not fully developed yet). 10 June 1 chased by WN - Svr. Most species - 19 Very chanced by 1875. Svr. displayed west Gashire near AACS; 368? chasing on gravelly ridge - two were in combat a good deal wasp flying & the bird’s flight ended in the ground paris
