23 July Barrow, Alaska
The other nests were intact. - 1 & given
The chest cage was near 0.3 + 23 - but
the nest couldn't be located. Other
others are noted in the census sheet.
Frequently during the trip down
Look - Single & F were flushed from
the grass - more than presumed
had young. - a maybe still egg.
24 July One brood (where? chest count)
not con taken - was noted in the area
south / with tundra fly.
Several other gulls (-Single) were
also present + protogly had chicks.
No floats today - Sweet single 23
even sun - The upland country.
25 July Two new nests on note 40 - (f shrunk plot -
1 nest #47 - nest 9.3 with 4 eggs - a large moss, polygyn-
with cover providing < 5% cover. Grass blades not
visible during the trip.
#48 - nest 10.4 - 3 eggs - ? - large moss-covered
polygynous - cover provides 10% cover - Cup
lined with willow bean + grass blades.
#45, 37, 38 - avocet noted - plover
present - not been flushed by shrews
Topi. #16 - was empty - must
have hatched yesterday.
