21 July Barrow, Alaska
Several groups both 837+99 (3-126na) seen
along beach ridgy & b.r. consw plat. Very
few ever seen in De marsh - where in
past years they have been quite common.
Nest #38 m A plat hve hatched in the last
2 days.
22 July Nest #40+Y3 - empty. 4 present & disk displaying
from #43 - so nice 2 hour between in the last
2 days. N#27 - also empty - hatched in last 3 days.
Several 99 with chilis seen in area south of
Woldsdlog. 80s acted as if they still were
in eggs - but no new nests were located.
Small flock of 99 were noted in the
same area & as well as swiftest indicative
83, many white on in the terminal stage
of body molt.
One flying immature collected at De
south end & central marsh.
23 July Very few flock today - 3 seen on Duvanil plot -
+ three were dominated by 99. Seven flock /
99 were noted north Duvanile.
Nest #42, 46 hve hatched in the last 2
days + Nest #26 hve 3 young 1 egg. - No
8 was present & broody. In excitement, she
would give a di-di-di-di - echo follower
or preeder by flat wel note. Occasionally
she would give an turnstone like note descriator,
