RTH 1963 20 July Barrow, Alaska Two broods (only 1 chick in roost found) were located where nests had not previously been located. - one new 20.0 + 1ne- 21.0 - both areas where % have been observed earlier. The chicks found were hatched; they were (assume) 2 days old. Throats still present today - but small group 1 male c 1+2 ? min flocks - the #3 one more conspicuous. The mob / the #3 can be described as a raucous screech - from when flushed or when taking flight. %?, a genus, were present in low numbers. New nest or plot: #44 - Dec 11.3 - 3 eggs + ne.2 - an Enaphum - virus mora - with 70% cor- #45 - ple 24.7 - 4 eggs +2 - gram mores - 10% core (Pos) #46 - Nov 23.2 - 4E - $ - Salad + Cener - given 57% cor - messi substrate - Captured much dead grass blades Salad bars. Many nests still remain - yet to hate. - Apparently were located in each July. - No flying chicks per some % are flocking near to leave
