Holmes, R. 1963 59. E. melanotus 19 July Bunny Alaska A giro / 40' + 7g river cove b spid plow west / 1/4th slough. Swan broods encountered before Needle glacier ridge - 3 brood 1-3 day old chick (4 m eve case), + 2 brood part feather chick - probably week old. 20 July Four broods encountered in Footprint Lake- 1/3 week-old chicks, 1/7 1 week-old chick, 1/4 of 2 week-old chicks (all 1m were ~ 25-35 gram class & had about half their juvenile plumage). All were banded. - all were accompanied by an adult F. On Skunk Creek plot - the following birds were checked N #33,34,30 new gav - m syn 1 adult - at N #37 - Pre chicks were gone but the few present + excited N #35 & 41 had the first egg pipping. N# 36 had 3 young (+ one 1 abnormally small egg. + N #26 had 3 young + 1 egg which was just pipping. The remainder / we not sure if brood at least, a 4-wr present; however at SW. - no F observed.
