Holmes, R. 1960 Erolia fuscicollis 2 July Ikravik, Alaska Slope which is used by the birds for feeding. On the west side, The ridge slopes more gently into a area of ponds & small lakes. On the slope there are areas of low pHlygone and moderate troughs (1-2 feet deep) and a variety of small puddles ponds. Actually the area in which most of the birds spend their time and where most of the chasing & display takes place. 3 July - East Ikravik, Alaska One individual seen just north of Lam lake & just east of Ikravik. The bird was flying low over the tundra was not displaying. 4 July Ikravik, Alaska Severe seen at the South end of the plot. Once a redback was chased. 5 July Barrow, Alaska None were seen on the brook ridge. 8 July Ikravik, Alaska A pair (?) were seen chasing at the northwest portion of the plot.
