Barnes, Flasha
Two 88 were still displaying - with hoots
+ brief slides. Four or five chases 1/4 by 88
never seen + these were accompanied by jaffle
Calls. The ground counterparts were seen 2-3
krows - caws were heard. The crows seen were
weak; lasting only a sec. or two.
The number of 98 was confusing - I don't
believe they were all for nests or in two or
three cases - there were flocks of 2-3 or 4
98 - see census sheets. There were also flocks
of 88 along the plate.
98 chased other 98 - the latter were believed
not to be nesters. - no ground aggression was
seen. - there were all supplanted when
aerial chase. 98 were also noted chasing
88 (in flocks). The waders fly after
mid - given Mr & Mrs note - the hunt
seemed to be a case of the nest. There was
noted 48 during the day.
