As I approached - I could hear a rustling of a bird + the above would pop up through the snow + freeze, the bird would jump off & not see off i distractin display. They must have been a few nests left to yesterday afternoon - where the snow was 1 foot. Five chase / #7 - 1 by 3" + Both My 4" were noted - the #7 gave me false note - the #7 & the 6 case note. The #7 in the chorus were not off nests known to me - they were not seen on the ground.
