26 June Barrow, Alaska
her, landing about 12" away. She raised tail &
wing ant air shuddin - he took flight -
maed a wide circle & flew North over
hr - 3-5' above h - not looking as
he passed over. Two display her been
observed several times in the last few
days but its significance wasn't
apparent until today. The $ aggressor's
posture may inform us that she is
already on eggs & is no longer receptive
(shows collected & had already laid a
full clutch). If he flew off & returns -
given 1x morning display. First time two
hippops he passes immediately above her.
This is the only display which piqued. Not I
have seen in my species between a 57 &
9. I guess, it may advance.
But she is aware of her presence.
27 June
19 collected with 1 egg (didn't see more than 3)
1 fled / 8 m NTH bead ridge - 2 collected.
No display activity - bad weather
28 June
One flock of 35-40 south of gashin ridge -
numerous groups of 2-5 birds between
gashins bead ridges. Several P's were
observed & judging by Teharn, they
probably were flushed from nests.
Only 1 chase 1-8 m - fled (P?) - was noted.
