Holmes, R. 1960 Erolia fuscicollis 12. 2 July Skeravile, Alaster Turned, lowered her wings & stretched them horizontally & stood facing him. He was still in his display posture & was giving the poing-see. As she faced him, they were both in an identical position, except that her tail was in its normal position & was not cocked. He then jumped partially over her & turned as he did so, landing on her back. Copulat- ion (?) took place & several seconds later, the pair flew off. About half an hour, copulation or at least (attempt) was again seen in the same general locality. The ? had just finished his ground display when he tried to mount the ?. It appears that copulation took place, but it could not be definitely determined. In the evening very little activity was noted. One bird which had been feeding for 10 minutes raised his wing towards a phalange which flew over it at the same time gave a 20 second sequence of poing-see. After the phalange passed, she
