Holmes,R 1963 C. melanotos 15 June Barrow, Alaska Chase. One 8 - One 2 - 2 Loos - 3 Loos, fls for 15' - lad - not follows - ch - went - for 2 mumbs, each deer chased by 3 - accompanied by gurgling jolber note. On ground a moundi alert posture- gave (low guidance than tree = qurrrr (rolled). - Once flock 16 $8 came across depot - with 388 following close behind. As permoved through different tundra - They attracted the occupants & seemed to loose some of the other chases - who probably returned to their area. - The group moved into the south. On the way back, throwed - on a grassy slope at the southwest corner of Footprint Lake - a net with 2 Egg was found. - The cup we lived entwined with dry willows (sage) leaves & two partials hidden from view by arlyn blocky grass & sedge. The bud (F) when flushed the net, stood nearby - feeling (deplacement?) 3-8 ever feeding close to us - but gave no clinet attention to. /3.
