Holmes,R 1963 C. melanotes 4 June Barrow, Alaska and only one to see in Dead Nige - he was near me 4 barrels - on north sector. A stuffed 875g were plundered near 1 snow bank mile else bluff. After a territorial displaying 875 had chased other 875 nearly, he suddenly came - flinches about 30' from my model - He then walked closer - started that was up on 2 blunt pere with that half inflated - then apparently saw me a mind away - doing distrubed feeling - finally he moved off. Appears model - my work to locate certain used for this purpose. 5 June One seen near North Area - none at Brent's Area. Detour Brent Point + Polygon Point (so and I removed plot) - only 1 or was encountered (collected). At the Mount Murbibley - 2 875 were fighting over territorial boundary. 6 June 875 are seen where there are large (100 x 50yd) patches / exposed hundreds at Volcano, North Slope, + numerous indios (100) on Village Slope bluff - where the exposed areas is 1 male x 50 yards. In this latter locality, plentiful were chasing & displaying fervently + 875
