Holmes, R. 1962 Erolia melanobos 9 july Barrow, Alaska - Skraavik Nest near 20.1 - gone - mseq. 1 M & ? or young. Nest may have been predated. Nest near 13.4 still active - ? left or not quite I don't know 10' away flew towards me - landed off to the side - it partly hunched posture - ran off through the low polygons - a slow running posture. As I left the nest - a ? flew up & off to the E. - given, the low east-nest - This was the only ? PS seen - the plot - so possibly it was still associated with One, meeting ? Several ? ? (1 gny 13 r m/6) in the marsh at the south end Skraavik. 10 july Hoof 6 No. [inner plot - scalded ? ? in marshes NE May Station (totally perhaps 10 birds). One Hoof 4 encountered 100 yards E of AACS. 11 july Small groups of ? ? - [2-5] seen No. 10th Area & near B.R. - central marsh - Tisa Lagoon area. One cuba 4 L.t. Juugan flew over - the 2 PS in my sight - crowded down on the side of a polygon - remained quiet until the lizards had passed over.
