'whooping' display heard on census plot.
Flock of 6 along wannaga inlet to Skrowail
& sweep 1 & at the south end)
Central Mewl. In the evening, a
flock about 25 - flying in a clear
pool - several individuals giving gurgling
note - fly up or on beech ridg,
1 display, 2 heard during the evening.
28 june Few small flocks of 877 - between Britton
& Voth Area. Only displaying 877 seen on the
slope on the south side of Voth Creek -
across from Voth Area. - Territorial display?
Chosen a group of 4 wandering 877?
29 june Several flocks of 877 along Mt. Level Ridge &
1 south of Writtlelog Slough.
2 july Skrowail - large flocks (20, 40, 6, 8, etc.) along
the inlet to the lake (NW) - nest 10.0 + plot
f agn at 15.0 -> 20.0. & in one case 787
were observed 877 + female - displaying
877 attempted to chase out the flocks or
at least individuals of the flocks. Only 3
'bowing' display were recorded during
5 hours a day. Lay flock of about
60 - seen No.1 Skrowail - but west of
Footprint Lake. This flock contained large
individuals - with "boggy" throats - possibly these
are 877 disserting territories. The remainder
