Erolia melanotos
13 June Barrow, Alaska
The displaying bird near Elson layon - green
scanty. One heard so.1 Britton's Area
in the evening. No flock noted.
14 June Small flock of 5-7 seen - west of Ostigite
Census Plot - on the birds may have been
settled - but was not trying very hard to
avoid The Remainders. Flu-flu display
of 5 seen at The Shrank Plot.
The general impression was that
birds are scarce - settled 8-9 here there

dispersed into the nearby - opening hundreds -
a bar left to other areas.

no aggression noted: one case where 2-3
were chasing a 4. - initially - the given -
The a cent down 1 male after the
other. This chosen - 13 birds - off
a 4 was noted again in the evening -
Cappants 18 succeeded in chasing off
the top off.
17 June 2-5 feeding along Elson layon - 1-3 displaying
along Wohlschley. In the evening - 2-3 heard
displaying between Britton + 5th Ave.
General very little activity.
