27 June Barrow, Alaska
seen - either displays - or flocking. It
was not as if there was just a lot
of breeding going on, but plainly < lot
of birds.
28 June A nest was found near the insect plots
with 4 eggs - The 3 gave - strong
destruction display. - Nest was
in a slight trough between 2" buns"
(not polygon) - On sloping ridge.
The eggs were relatively well covered 1
gram, but were still visible.
3 July 3 87 seen between the insect plots &
VIIth Area. The nest at our plots is
still intact & the 4 incubating.
4 July Now seen in Central Marsh, 208° sec
in B. Ridge. It appears that the 87s
have departed - or have at least disappeared.
The nest was ph - near insect plots.
7 July The only birds seen between the lot &
Ikovoid - were 8 Vires (87s) in
the Fordpoint hole - A group of 7
6 were No.1 40%! Seen in the
Marshy Lands so. t = 1 Nest plot
(3 collected - all unpaired - 1 was a 4).
9 July -2 birds seen Central Marsh - both 87s, 1
selected & it was working. No other plot,
where are Bart's Olson Hroblek.
