Holmes,R. 1961 Erolea melonotus 3. 6 June Barrow, Alaska encountered. Dmelany 8 was collected; they all seemed to be 8? - even Though 2 or 3 did not look fully developed. 7 June - another flock of 4 8's seen near Elson Lagoon; all were feeding together with a stuff. They were chased by 1 display 8? who followed them until they were out of sight. A 4 was found feeding in an area which never been patrolled by a well-developed 8? - 3rd seen This year. Another flock of 12-14 birds was found No. 6 Outh's area + So 1 The village (along the ridge top near the beverage antennae). This group consisted of 4-5 large, well-developed 8? The remainder seemed to be smaller - more alike, but it is likely that there are either young 8? or 8? which have not developed. The throat coloration & enlargement. Three were collected (# 9 June - none were seen at the Skovaiti crosse plot. Also none were noted on the entire trip down to Beloko. In the evening, east of the brochridge near Elson Lagoon, several flocks were seen. There were counted 6 15 (instrument), 8, 7, 3, 8, 6, 3, +4; and appeared to be composed
