Holmes, R 1960 Erolia melanostos 24. 15 Aug Barrow, Alaska seen along The inlet going into The lake (I know it). 17 Aug - Several juveniles seen near Voth's Area. No adults have been noted for several days now. 21 Aug One juvenile was collected on a ridge S of Footprint Lake & 1 was heard near Voth's Area. None were in Footprint or Dry Lake. 25 Aug Several Sloth. 1 Rictus (juvenile?) were seen in the marsh today. These varied in numbers from 10 - 24. Occasional juveniles were seen scattered in The tundra. 26 Aug 4 individuals were seen in Central Marsh near Dr. Treplein. All were juvenile. 28 Aug Scattered birds seen in Central Marsh & down towards the fertilizer plots. All [illegible] were juveniles (see P.
