Holmes,R. 1960 17 July Barrow-Denoville, Alaska Only small groups of pectorals were seen today between the camp- The lake. They usually consisted 1 4-15 birds, which were feeding in wet places. On the plot at the lake, only occasional birds were seen. The & there were still her nest (near AO-0.) 18 July Barrow, Alaska Our large group was encountered Today west of Meadows Lake. Of Three birds taken from this group, all were 9%. It is also worth noting that many of the birds that I have collected recently for Stoch have them 9%. All these have had well developed breed patches; a few have lost feather starting to moult. The patches, as at they hadn't developed for a period of time. No one here in the lab has seen a brood of pectorals this year (beside there were nest those labelled west? The Wangan). It seems probably that there may have been a very poor nest success this year & that this
