walkingverse feet, They took flight
again & both began hooting.
Eventually they both peeled off
away for each other & returned
to more central district. In the
afternoon west (Dr. Wanigan,
a 4 was found doing a distraction
display. A 8 landed near her, &
as I watched, he would run up to
her and apparently supplanted her.
This occurred 3 or 4 times before
the 8 left. When supplanted, the 8
would fly a foot or two &
would then resume the mourning
posture & sometime do fixed display
with tail lowered & speed.
In the evening, the nest was found
where the above incident took place.
It contained 4 eggs which were
very exposed (no standing grass any-
where nearby) and was located
the edge of a polygon, near looking a
troup & the flats north of the wanigan.
This time when the 4 was
flushed, she was counted
by a 8. He flew in, landed
