Holmes, R. 1960 Erolia fuscicollis 23 June Ithraquik, Alaska Same hearing The "poings". This bird was watched for about 1 1/2 hours, and the second bird was not seen during this time. One was heard late this evening somewhere down in the plot area. 24 June - While doing the census, I heard a white-snap displaying across the second plot mile threavik. It was heard only twice. In the evening, a display was heard near stake 19. The birds were not seen near the pond, as they were the last for evening. 26 June Barrow, Alaska One heard on the east shore of salt lagoon, and one was collected by Pitelka just south of Britton's Area. Another bird was seen out in central marsh near the SW corner of the marsh plot. It was seen feeding with a flock of Pectoral Sandpipers. 27 June - I heard displaying on the shear ridge, just east of the gas line.
