Holmes,R. 1957 Erolla melanotas 12 July Barrow, Alaska This consisted of fluttering along the ground with tail down and fanned. The wings were only drooping slightly. A trembling-crying note was given as she huddled her way over 4m. Funde. Even for feet she would look back to see if it was following. When she resumed her normal post. She was about 30 feet from thrust. The eggs (3) were still present. 14 July Barrow, Alaska One flock of about 15 males seen South Voth's Area. A few single females were seen just S. of Footprint Lake. 15 July Barrow, Alaska Several small groups seen between Voth's Area and Footprint Lake. A few females were noted at the southern end of Footprint Lake. 16 July Barrow, Alaska Three seen near Woldschlos' Slough; apparently they were males? 17 July Barrow, Alaska Nine seen on Beach Ridge or near AAAS. 18 July Barrow, Alaska Several groups of 10-15 were noted on the flat "plain" north of Footprint
