Holmes,R 1963 C. bairdi 12 July Barrow, Alaska A pair was collected a west chin. Van creed - probably c nest somewhere in vicinity. The nest in Bot Brit's are was still being incubated. 14 July Beach ridge census plot - 1 nest (nr 18-c) - hatched July #12-13 - gone today. Same was true / Nest nr 16 - except that two cold eggs remained in the nest cup. 16 July Nest #3 - in Brit's av. had 3 young just out of the egg + 1 egg which had not yet hatched. The other egg shells were gone - 1 adult was incubating. 17 July One adult with 1 downy chick collected near BASS. All nests - plot here hatched - some adults & probably their chicks are in the area still. Nest nr 16-c - where had 2 cold eggs last check - steel hoed (nr) today, Who crooked - we had a chick about ready to hatch the other was Sterile - no development rubates ever. I have no idea why they didn't survive - unless there's we had some effect. 19 July 1 collected Brit. av. in full winter body plumage. 3 collected allm b.i. me beveron antenna - all but one - all
