Holmes, P. 1963 C. bairdii 28 may Barnes, Plosh 28th which have not settled boundaries - but have claimed this area / expose furnela. The amount / aerial displaying was limited / One one dual-flyer. 29 may One collected - feeding by jabs specks at Elsanbluff, 300 yards south / ookpik. Two seen feeding together along Elsan bluff. 30 may One seen heard in aerial display over Voh area - Calceatrisito. 2 June Drum area - 3-4 birds - 3 seen in one chase, amid chattering sounds still. One aerial display heard. An individual when landing kept his right wing held vertically, while he gave the musical soft wet-pitched trill (10 sec). He then lowered the wing & began feeding. This happened 4 times, each was preceded by a short flight from one engaged polyptyx to another. No other bird can seen in the vicinity. Several minutes later, he flew to a mound 100' away, landed, kept 1 wing up before, but cocked tail, gave a harsh, uneven chatter or trill for 5 sec. The 5 sec 1 even musical trill - as he walked toward another individual (q?). Skirt turned + watched us, he followed with fixed steel cocked, but
