sedge blades (dry). Sometimes - grown

As approached - The # incubating bird
flew off - and went immediately into a
rapid flight, landing 60' away - ran about
2' in rodent run posture - then stopped - stood
next (as I stood by the nest) + gave several
whines. Wheezy, wheezy. After 2 min -
walked away - it flew landed about 1
min & fled me off for 200' - in a part
bushy pasture - finally under bush
found the nest.
11 July Nest found by Maker at the gravel soil slope.
The B.R. - still being incubated. The bird
flew off 20' as I approached - then as I
came close to the nest - it ran up to the nest
in a mouse-run posture - followed by
a fluttering in air to 5' - having a
rapidly beating wings - giving a loud
squeaking call. It would periodically land
run around in a hunched posture - given
the white-call. The bird never did get
more than 4' away from me while I moved
the nest & then as I reached away it
flew & fluttered ahead my off.
