Holmes,R. 1960 Erolia bairdi 22. 22 July Barrow, Alaska A bird (a ?!) was seen with 2 young nes Dr. B.R. (in Central Marsh). All three were collected (4765-67). Another juvenile was seen near Affies where was able to fly short distances. 24 July - An adult + 3 chicks seen near the tide station at Elithich Ross. 25 July - A ? with 1 chick was collected just west of Voth's Marsh. Another bird (sings?) seen with 1 chick along Voth's Slough. No displays heard. 26 July - Adult with a chick was seen just north 1 footprint. None were seen near Ibruvik. 28 July - None ever seen in the vicinity of Voth's Area. 29 July - None ever seen in The Bear Ridge, Central Bower - no one seen at the ridge. 30 July - None seen in Voth's area & vicinity. 2 August - One lone & found and collected along Voth's Creek (in the gravel bed). Another family group was encountered near Trepelin I+A+B, No. 1 Voth's Area. The adult bird, a ?, was collected
