Holmes,R. 1960 Eolia bairdi 17 June Barrow Alaska But this activity is present in spurts. 20 June - Several birds displaying along the north end of the level ridge. There is a certain swing in their display that seems quite characteristic of this species. 23 June Kepavik (Barrow), Alaska One seen during a morning near De Wanijar. In De Sterna, we were present near the NE corner plot. The last individual was singing the whining call and was acting like it had food. The area where it was seen is an area of high polygon which looks like good bairdi habitat. 24 June - The bird was found in this region this afternoon. It is located about half way between post 0.6 and 0.1 and slightly to the north of this line. The nest (claimed Beggs) and was situated on a polygon. The soil in this locale is block, but there are scattered clumps of dried grasses which have been cut by events denning activity. It is near there a sparsely stream
