RTH 1964 C. fuscecollis 13 Jun Barrow, Alaska Display saw w/ fly to a chasing PS. - Saml or - humming, w/ nse c zeee in 2-7. PS - chasing w/a - got up arrived & chased PS c at wings with song - PS grad up landed - we went into ground posture w/ tail furled - wings out & dropped - given food PS - P) flew off - un fed. 2pm. $-arrive w/ 4,5,6,t9. In 5+5 the M&$ don received no ground courtship display from the $ - but received "unmoved" while their mates again performed aerial displays. - The $ kept feeding as long as they were watched (about 30 min. agreed). In #6, $ aerial hover at 50' - landed on alt wrap - mat to $ - went into ground courtship posture (for zone) - $ remained unconcerned after she stopped feeding. She then flew about 100'x a mound on a small slope ridge - went up went cep, tallup. rotated - breast against bottle (1x 10sec) - stood up & scissed briefly (sev. times) pecked around grass 3-4x + then flew short distance + began to feed. - All 1 M&$ flew - The $ gives in a here display about 30' above her & as she left he up & landed he set wings, glided toward her, giving song, + lateral - folded wings - flashed me toward her - went into ground
