Had lunch, then transferred the rest. Finished at 3:15pm. Did some more sorting until 4:00. Fire reported and smelled smoke but it was a ways away. Rested until 5:15 pm, then went out to set traps again. Reset 1-20 large at Davis'. Reset 1-20 small across from around big red barn, set 21-30 by concrete lab. bunkhouse, 31-40 by concrete lab, 41-45 behind laboratory, 46-50 inside bunkhouse (except 47 - missing wire). Finished with traps and brought in all those from Madrone Canyon by 8:00 pm. Went for a swim in Davis' pool just as the sun went below the hills. Had supper and went to bed early. Aug. 10 Got up at 6:00 Had breakfast and checked traps. Bunkhouse #23 shrew released 27 P. calif.
