M.F. Smith 1973 JOURNAL Hastings Reservation, Monterey Co., Calif. Nov. 24 that are somewhere between boyleyi and truel. One test is the tail tip - boyley's should come off at the tip if you pull gently. The ratio of some kind foot measurement and an ear measurement should tell for cure. It would be interesting if there is an electrophotic difference between boyleyi and truel to check some of these intermediates. Went out at 2:15 pm to set some new traps. Went across from mailboxes, down to Robertson Creek, and then started line at left of pipe upstream in a circle 81-90. Farther up Martin Rd. about 300 meters and down steep bank to creek side, set 91-94 along creek. Back along fence row 95-100. Also added 1-10 along dry creek bed above previous set (161-180). Added 11-20 along dirt road south of 50 (at marker 600 on road edge). Added 76 & 77 along creek opposite barn and 78-80 around barn. Also put out some extras around the buildings: 21, 31 lab; 33, 38 unsafe barn; 42 concrete lab; 50, 52 bunkhouse; 57, 59 woodshed; 65 near Griffin's house. Rebaited all other traps as well.
