Smith, J Calloje Hummingbird 21 May 1989 Sagehen Creek Field Station, Nevada Co., California @ 300 ft 0700 hrs. 250 yds east of station in a Willow. Callojes will make a full circle & zigzag like an Anna's but they have a very sweet call a "Bzzzoooooozzz" very hi pitch and soft melodic not rangy. The color cf the males gorset fans out from the throat to the breast like paint brush strokes, very brilliant crimson. Back is green crimson like an Anna's, sides of breast appearrufous.
