math, 2 White headed Woodpecker 20 May 1987 Sycan Creek Field Station, Nevada Co, Calfornia 6300ft In dead pine it was about 6' off ground it tha flew up high. Head was brillant white with red nuchal patch. Back all Black. It was staying within 20yds of the creek flying from live to dead pines. 21 May 1989 Found nest hole. Flushed B? ~8' up there is a series of 3 holes. Hole Pine tree. Also seen to be Home Wrens in th vicinty. The nest tree is 40yds W of fw/or BR nest at E~75 yds from PE/fw Ox starts? O->nest
