South, J Golden Eagle 15 December 1988 Zuni Indian Reservation McKinley Co New Mexico 2:38pm spotted immature soaring over pond on NE side of town before Blackrock. 2 Ravens were flying within 15' of the Eagle The one Raven I observed pulled its legs away from the tail as if it were gong to parachute down onto the eagle but in reality it only dropped to win 6-8'. The Golden Eagle was early identified as immature by distinct white tail band and ~3" from dark tip and white windows on underside quips. white under brown 80" wingspan
