unsel Tree Key, 2 mi NW Lafayette, Contra Costa Co., Calif. 1304 ft of a sudden the white-crowes burst from the ground in berlock to the Beachair. The Hawk flew in low (~8') from R NW and landed on a fallen log 10' to th NE of me. It sat then looking from side to side 30-40 secs then flew 5' NNE landed in grass put head down into grass and then flew off to fever post nearly th planted plot N of the mulbery tree. Then it swooped into the green underbush presunably hunting the white-crowes ad Goldens as the deer. It then flew off right handed N low (5') following th road out q into the pine grove. The forester are jolly boss on them today so it is quite noisy.
