th, g 1989 Journal 70 Russell Free Des., 2 mi NW Lafayette Contra Costa Co. Caly. 1308t 30 Mar 0605 hours out at Russell, Fog lefty off low lying areas. Very cold (rYo) ad wet with low. Had nets ready to empanelat the cattail pond until at the site N of the electric fence plot 100yds N of cattail. Caught the male in eachy three areas. Fwh: Bk is Nq electric fence plot, and F Fw/GR: OR is at the cattail pond with OF/Fw: Y/BL. J asual heard Gth/w Ybl giving content call to Fw/GR OR BL I did not hear an female with wh/Fw. It is a very bright sunny day today. By 1030 hours the spenons are quiet ad non-responer to playbacks. Yesterday Frank must have burned woodpile Fw/Ks ad Fwh's, woodpile is gone ad so are may others with valley. I saw the Reds in the thistle patch east by the mulbery tree they seem to be paired still. Went NE along the road there are no SS in the newlock patch where they were last year. Scalled up a pair from the very E end of the road in the pine grove. Lots of PO will set up net there fw tomorrow morning. Saw Sharp-shinned again. This time I was up in the Bachari's territory NW of the mulbery where Y/Fw: BK was tsettled. There are now primarily White crowns in that area (r/2). I was standy by the Bachari's going
