Smith, J 1985 Journal 54 Big Creek Reserve, zone 5 by Smithsburg, Monterey Ca Calif coast. May 19 Mar We had camp set by 7pm we ate Salami wheat cap mix sandwich, not great but filling. The Gumbo up whole wheat flour we had liquid to have was still frozen solid. cup white flour went to bed r 9:00pm. The night was overcast cup soy flour but moonlight was brilliant enough for a stroll cup wheat flour to Grumboa Pt. I arose this morning at 6:21am cap baby powder to the sound of jays and score woodpeckers. teeny salt I fixed a breakfast of Soy, Wheat Baby Mix cup dry milk Biscuits (2cup mix, 2TBS oil, 3/4 cup H2O). Ate them with cup sugar Wildflower honey from Long foods, Mocca Java. 1/4 tiny brewis yeast margarine and half-half. Man! Delicious. Freeze biscuits in teakplace pan w/ 1TBSf margarine worked very well. extra mix wheat flour cup each Royal Lef Cornmeal cup soy flour TBSF brown sugar TBSF baby powder teny each salt at soda We ate lunch at the Best Western in Calmaria, actually Best Western is 3/4 of Town on sea side. I had a big burgular fries, this a BLT. It was typical restaurant fare, we got out of there for $14 incl tip. I recorded song sparrows as we descended from the ledge at Big Creek it was r 11:15am Then were r6 indus 3 on N side of road 3on south. They were small red back. They were in bracka fern, Tan bark oak and lots of Poison Oak, (dark red leaves), also live oak, redwood and monterey pine. We left Big Creek at 12:45pm
