Extreme calling from Bay Laurel on W side of ridge. Flock of jays (~10) feeding in live oaks on W side of ridge. Flickers wings are making loud playing or "whooshing" as they beat. Fog is burning off slightly & can now see the lower road (beady to party area) from the ridge. Heard a human fly by. I also think I've been hearing the gurgle g of a California Thrasher. The birds are becoming more vocce now at 9:46 am. 11:26 am caught ~10 Golden-crowned sparrows at Mulbery Bush when I ran to get N-S over old well. Sun has burnt off fog except for around hilltops. Didn't think seen fogsy underneath Mulbery bush; all the Golden-crowns popped yellow-green Guerneville Sonoma Co. California Route: 101-N out of San Francisco (~2hr drive) 4 mile N of Santa Rosa go W on River Rd for ~15 miles. In Guerneville then is a stop sign go thru it, then LRT BLK go left and see River Lane Cabins in SW corner.
