California 6329ft 29 July three sitting in same tree on 3 diff branches about 10" apart each branch. 10w < 3' off ground in pine tree (Ponderosa?), No calls, only chipping was heard no begging from juveniles. 63 apt. 30 July Penryn Pines 1.5mi; SO Saylor Creek Field station Nevada Co, Cal set up 3 30m nets 9:22am caught an individual which I could band and name it is ~ 65°F sunny with lots of white clouds. - FWS Band # 1431-14501 on left leg (18g.t. weel) bill length 10mm (measures made with plastic ruler) bill depth 6.5 mm wing length 64 mm tail length 64 mm, very worn feathers main just shaft Tarsus 20 mm middle toe 17 mm molt back molt, tail very worn brood patch yes sex probs female age adult? Fsk ran away she beat her head against the wires it was feather bare ad blood - End of 143-1401 sp. Acct. Have seen dark-eyed juncos, desert wrens (2), orange- crowned warblers, montana chickadees, red-shafted
