th, J 1988 Journal 27 6105ft Alda Creek 4 mi W of Hobart Mills Nevada Co. Calif 2 July 9:30 am off L S drove 5 from station past Proser Creek to Alda Creek Rd. Went west on Alda Creek Road for 3 mi until climb turn Rf to Rt with bent street sign indicate Alda Creek then we drove NW about 1mi and hunted along th creek. Not too may Spanios . Too much alder not enough willow plenty ? Fox Spanio. to Jeff shot a male or female SS. That night searched the nest & found in Piny Pine, it was still early (that nest was found 17 June). Heard individual gus "Sip sip" as I stood in willow thicket so maybe they re-nested elsewhere after I found them on th 19th. I collected the nest. 29 July Sayeh Creek Field Station Sierra Co. California 6328ft 4:27pm arrived at station 3:40 left Berkely about 11:30 am. Took Chris' car lent Mimi & Wang so she could go car shopping. Chris and I drove E on I-80 until South Tahoe exit stopped at Safeway for some Corned Beef, Y2-Y2 and Mahi-Mahi. Donna invited us to a barbeque and wiffle ball game tonight. It is a hot day (~ 85 F) with large cumulus culuds- Chris and I will walk E along Sayehen from one tent site m W end
