June 8 1930 2/63048 19 June Penny Pines, 1.5 mi S of Safeguard Station, Nevada Co., Edy. respond with a more lispy call. When I spotted me she gave a "sip or chisp." I would hop around about on a fallen log 1' off the ground away from nestly and the two would call back and forth. A male flew into a perch 15m to the W of the fledgling and sang. Fledgling would call persistently even if I was not nearby. 10:18 Found another pair feeding a fledgling. Same behavior of parent coming into ~5' radius of young giving "blee-ee" call with fledgling responding much more softly. Found a nest 6" off the ground in the fork base of a willow. The willow is 21/2' high. It is part of a long strip of willows along SE toward the creek. The strip is 15m long and 2m wide. I flagged the E most part and also flagged the tallest branch of the willow closest where the nest is in addition I flagged the willow brush just N & S of the nest. To find the nest go into the middle of the clump where there is a bare area and face E look at the base of the flagged willows on the Eastern edge. It is hard to view from ground because better concealed from top than most, Hard to say how far down to creek but perhaps 1/2 mile from gate. As I approached the nest tree I saw something seeming very like the I had done at the other nest perhaps this is about
